CARBON REDUCTION STRATEGY
Going Over Data
Hole in the Shape of a Footprint Symbolizing a Carbon Footprint.jpg

We are yet to work with a client where climate change is not a material sustainability issue for their key stakeholders such as investors, customers or employees. We support businesses to measure, understand and manage these risks with credible and deliverable carbon targets, either as a stand-alone carbon strategy or as part of a wider, comprehensive ESG strategy.

OUR
SERVICES

01

DATA MEASUREMENT

We measure company scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon footprints using the best practice GHG Protocol Corporate Standard. We don't use tools, we develop bespoke spreadsheets that measure only what you need and keep things as simple as possible. We also support you to report these accurately in the public domain, with full method transparency.

03

TARGET SETTING

Carbon targets are complex - they need to reflect the short and long-term, be credible, attainable, and consider the latest, and ever changing, best practice from the likes of the Science-Based Target Initiative. We will guide you through this journey explaining the different types of target and define practically deliverable targets for your business, including Net Zero where appropriate.

05

CLIMATE RISK REVIEW

Climate change could have a significant impact on many businesses in the short and longer term (e.g. flood risk, taxes etc.). We can support you to evaluate and address these risks aligned with the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosure (TCFD), and provide public reporting accordingly.

02

VERIFICATION

We don't verify carbon emissions ourselves (that needs to be done by an independent third party) but should you wish for ISO 14064 certification, then we will support you through the verification process by providing the auditors with all the information they need and in a timely manner to ensure a smooth certification process.

04

ABATEMENT STRATEGY

Reducing carbon emissions is core to any climate change strategy. We will model and cost ways in which you can reduce your emissions, considering not just technology but behavioural, legislative and wider impacts (e.g. fuel prices, social benefits etc.), along with stakeholder collaboration opportunities, to produce a fully rounded plan.

06

OFFSETTING

To achieve carbon neutral or Net Zero status most companies will need to invest in some form of carbon offsets. This unregulated market is complex and we will explain the best practice standards and public claims that can be made to ensure that you make suitable investments in credible schemes that will aid and not detract from your positive climate change story.
