CDP reporting advice

Reducing the complexity and time burden of CDP reporting

Why CDP needs a considered approach

The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is one of the most widely used environmental disclosure platforms, relied on by investors, customers and cities to assess climate, water and forest-related risks.

We help you work out whether CDP is the right disclosure platform for your business (read more in Who is CDP for?), and if it is, we help you to prepare a response that reflects the work you're already doing and your plans for the future. We help you to use this process of annual disclosure to better understand your risks and opportunities, improve climate resilience and reduce environmental impact.

CDP reporting can also help streamline your wider reporting workload, particularly for companies with related compliance reporting requirements such as TCFD, UK SRS and/or the ISSB's IFRS S2 Standard.

How we can help you

You'll work directly with experienced senior consultants who will craft bespoke CDP submission responses and recommendations based on your data and your business.

01

CDP fit assessment.
We help you decide whether CDP is right for your business, and which of its questionnaires make sense, based on investor, customer and sector expectations.

02

Response preparation.
We translate your existing climate data, targets, risks and governance into a CDP report submission, or we can provide a review role – reviewing and critically evaluating responses drafted by you.

03

Scoring improvement.
We identify scoring gaps using our proprietary CDP score tracker, then we identify improvement opportunities – response changes for quick-wins, and business changes for longer-term improvements – all prioritised by implementation ease and score impact.

04

Ongoing management and support.
We support you with filling any gaps over the subsequent reporting year (see our Carbon & Net Zero services) and manage your CDP reporting annually, so the disclosure process gets easier over time.
