Integrating sustainability considerations into façade strategies was already standard practice for Colorminium when they contacted Rawstone Consulting. However, what they didn’t have was a clear policy on their approach, or a unified strategy ensuring their overall corporate impact is continuously improving. Colorminium appointed Rawstone to address these concerns with key highlights from the project as follows:
Development of a Sustainability Policy encapsulating all the company’s policies in relation to applicable environmental, social and governance (‘ESG’) issues.
Clarity on key carbon emission sources through comprehensive measurement of scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions.
Formalisation of the company’s Sustainability Strategy for the next three years, including targets with detailed delivery plans. These strategy ambitions were carefully selected to focus on both the company’s most significant impact areas, and the priorities of main contractors and other clients.
